Tell us about yourselves.
DPLMT is a multidisciplinary art collective formed in 2017 by Raihana (Araikreva), Iqbal (EBAO), Shakir (The Terror Troopers), Kath (Katkucing), Shamyl (Myl) and Edison (GalactikCaptain). 

Started as an avenue for the team to work on mural projects together, DPLMT has now worked with various companies and brands to create experimental visual solutions. Their philosophy is set on infusing their cultural heritage and experiences into their art while exploring new means of expressing their stories such as immersive experiences and augmented reality.

As a Creative, you draw your inspiration from many sources. Who and what inspires you and if it is a place, where do you go to stimulate your creative juices?
Each member is inspired by many artists and illustrators. Usually when we get to gather to work on a mural, one of us will take the lead and the rest will adapt and follow. As mural art inspires collaboration, we learn each other’s styles and also infuse certain street art styles while visualising our works.

Where do you see yourself and your art in the coming years?
We want to see more places with art being accessible for the audience. By applying augmented reality, users can use filters and AR apps to see the artworks come to life without having to be physically at the wall. This technology will provide the reach and the ability to connect with the artist.
