Dance Dance Hallyu 2024: 2024 K-Pop World Festival – Singapore Preliminary Round

Ready to flaunt your synchronised dance moves with your crew or serenade the audience with your vocal capabilities? Join the ultimate Dance Dance Hallyu 2024: 2024 K-Pop World Festival – Singapore Preliminary Round and fight for the top 3 places! Bring home attractive prizes and the winning team/individual will be crowned the champion! 
 
In addition, top 2 from the dance category and first place from the vocal category will get the privilege to participate in the final round of the 2024 K-Pop World Festival in Changwon as a representative of Singapore. 
 
Qualifiers Round & Result Announcement: Saturday, 25 May 2024, 9AM to 7PM 
Finals: Saturday, 29 June 2024, 3PM to 9.30PM  

ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS

K-Pop Dance Category: 

• Qualifier Round will take place at *SCAPE The TreeTop, Level 5 on 25 May 2024 (An email with more details will be sent out upon registration) 
• Each group must consist of a minimum of 2 members. 
• Each group must perform to 1 K-Pop song of their choice (max 5mins) 
• For selected groups: Members participating in the qualifier round must remain the same for the Finals. In unforeseen circumstances and valid reasons, we may allow a substitution to be used. 
• For selected groups: Each group must choose another K-Pop song of their choice to perform at the Finals. 

K-Pop Vocal Category: 

• Qualifier Round will take place at *SCAPE The Treetop, Level 5 on 25 May 2024 (An email with more details will be send out upon registration) 
• Solo or group performances are allowed, with or without back-up dancers. 
• Each group must consist of minimum 2 members 
• Participants can choose to use an instrument or a ‘minus one’ track.  
• For selected soloists/groups: Members participating in the qualifier round must remain the same for the Finals. In unforeseen circumstances and valid reasons, we may allow a substitution to be used. 
• For selected soloists/groups: Each soloist/group must choose another K-Pop song of their choice to perform at the Finals.

• Can we include more than one song in our music mix for both the Qualifier and Final rounds?
  No, only 1 song is allowed for both qualifier and final round.
• What is the duration for each performance?
  Please ensure your performance does not exceed 4-5 minutes.
• Do performances in the Finals need to be entirely new pieces?
  Yes, performances for the Finals must be entirely new pieces.
• Are we limited to original choreographies for songs performed by K-Pop groups?
  Yes, only original choreographies as seen on music videos and live performances are permitted for this competition.
• Are pyrotechnics permitted in our performances?
  No, pyrotechnics are strictly prohibited to maintain a safe environment.
