Azfar Anwar Queer Islamic Historian & Activist Azfar Anwar (he/him) is one of the co-founders of Quasa, a LGBTQ+ Muslim support and advocacy group with a mission to empower, educate, and uplift. Academically trained in Egypt and Oxford as an Islamicist and historian, he aims to help fellow queer Muslims reconcile their faith with their sex and sexuality using findings from his research on ‘homosexuality’ in Islamic history. Azfar is also an Executive Committee member & Director of Mendaki Club, where he helps at-risk and underserved Malay/Muslim students plan their educational and career pathways, and quell racial stereotypes in Singapore. |

lewloh Musician, Streamer Uncompromising in his pursuit of songwriting, Lewis Loh, who goes by the artist moniker lewloh is a Singapore-based musician, songwriter, and Twitch streamer. His writing is honest, warm, and curious to understand love from different points of view. This refreshing take on the singer-songwriter genre in Asia puts him on the forefront of emerging artists from Singapore and the rest of Southeast Asia. Being LGBTQ+, Asian, and a third-culture kid are key parts of lewloh’s identity as it brings about a unique intersectional perspective of not being able to fit in, often in more ways than one. If life is a patchwork, then lewloh is assembling the pieces of what he loves into something visually and musically unique. His music and foray into Twitch is a daring process of self-discovery that is spontaneous and sincere, And it is this sincerity that has steadily won the hearts of folk-pop lovers in Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, USA, and the rest of Southeast Asia. |
