The festival is primarily targeted towards youth aged 15-35 and offers a unique array of artistic programmes, each with its own distinct personality and charm. As a Front-Of-House volunteer, your role is to ensure the smooth operation of programmes and performances. Your duties may include:
- Ticketing scanner: Scan tickets and validate them for entry into the event. You will need to have good attention to detail and be comfortable using scanning technology.
- Merchandise sales: Assist with the sale of merchandise such as t-shirts, pins, and other event-related items. You will need to have strong customer service skills and be comfortable handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
- Counter: Provide information and assistance to patrons at various locations around the venue. This may include answering questions about the event schedule, directing people to restrooms and concession stands, and providing general assistance as needed.

As an Usher, your primary responsibility is to welcome and direct guests to their designated areas, crowd management and to distribute festival booklets. Your duties may include:
- Greeting guests and checking their tickets to ensure they are seated in the correct area.
- Handing out festival booklets and other materials to guests as they enter the venue.
- Answering questions and providing information about the event schedule, facilities, and services available.
- Assisting guests with special needs, such as wheelchair users, the elderly, or families with young children.
- Maintaining a calm and friendly demeanour, even in stressful situations.
- Reporting any issues of concerns to the appropriate staff members.
- Ensuring that the event venue is returned to its original state after the event is over. This may involve tasks such as packing up equipment and supplies, dismantling decorations and cleaning the venue.
You will need to be friendly, approachable, and able to work well in a team environment. You should also be comfortable standing for long periods of time and be able to handle high-volume traffic. Excellent communication skills are a must, as you will be interacting with guests throughout the festival.

As a Festival Crew volunteer, your role is to ensure that the festival event runs smoothly. The festival crew is responsible for a variety of tasks such as event set up, logistics, stage management, and tear down. Your duties may include:
- Set up and logistics: Ensure that the venue is set up correctly and that all necessary equipment and supplies are in place. This may involve tasks such as setting up tables and chairs, installing decorations, etc.
- Show runners/Stage crew: Ensure that performances run smoothly. This may involve tasks such as setting up and testing audio and visual equipment, helping backstage, and assisting performers with equipment and props.
- Tear down (Optional): Ensure that the event venue is returned to its original state after the event is over. This may involve tasks such as packing up equipment and supplies, dismantling decorations, and cleaning the venue.
You will need to be able to work well in a team environment, have good communication skills, and be able to work effectively under pressure.

As an Artist Liaison volunteer, your primary role is to ensure that artists feel welcome, comfortable, and prepared for their performances. You will be responsible for keeping track of their location and schedule, as well as making sure they have everything they need to perform at their best. Your duties may include:
- Meeting and greeting artists: You will be the primary point of contact for artists as they arrive at the event. You will need to meet and greet them, assist them with their equipment, and escort them to their accommodations or the stage.
- Managing artist schedules: Responsible for keeping track of the artists’ schedules and making sure they are in the right place at the right time. You may need to coordinate with other event staff, such as stage managers or production teams, to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
- Providing hospitality services: As part of your role, you may need to provide hospitality services to the artists, such as arranging for meals, transportation, or other special requests.
- Building relationships: Finally, you will be responsible for building relationships with the artists and making sure they have a positive experience at the event. This may involve networking with the artists, showing them around the event, and making sure they feel welcomed and valued.
You will need strong communication skills, attention to detail and a friendly and professional demeanour.

As a gallery sitter, you will be facilitating visitors of our art exhibitions which will be up throughout the festival. Your responsibilities include:
- Providing visitors information about the artwork and the artist.
- Being proactive in approaching visitors who seem interested in the artwork.
- Ensuring visitors do not touch or damage the artwork on display.
You will need to be comfortable interacting with visitors to share more about the exhibition and have a friendly disposition.

As a Social Media Manager, you will be recruited to take social media content of the event that you are deployed to. Your responsibilities include:
- Creating Instagram reels/ Tiktoks for our *SCAPE social media either before or after the event.
- Taking Instagram Stories during the event.
- Creating recap Instagram posts after the event.
- Creating Behind-The-Scenes content for particular events.
- Ideating social media content to be created surrounding the event that you are deployed to.
You will be working closely with our Marketing Department to post on our social media, as well as to ensure that all content that is posted on our social media adheres to *SCAPE’s marketing guidelines.
You will need to be internet-savvy, up to date with current social media trends and have an eye for detail. Experience in video editing software and graphic design is preferred but not required.

- Volunteers Required: 5
As a Photographer / Videographer volunteer, you will be recruited to take photos and videos of our festival events. These photos and videos may be used for future marketing efforts for *SCAPE’s events. Your responsibilities include:
- Taking and editing photographs of each of our events in order to capture the vibrancy of COMMA.
- Filming and editing videos of our events in order to capture the audience/ visitor experience.
You will need to have an attention to detail and be comfortable with using your own photography and videography equipment if necessary. Experience in photography and videography is preferred but not required.

As a Graphic Designer volunteer, you will be potentially recruited to design social media posts for *SCAPE’s social media. Experience in graphic design (Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, Canva) is preferred.
