Title: Project Cheeep: Visualising Collective Emotional States in Public Art
Venue: Somerset Youth Park Pavillion
Artist: Victor Emmanuel
Project Manager: Stellah Lim
Video Artist: Marcel Gaspar
Project Assistants: Zul Zaufishan (Zee Fish), Jade (JXDE) & Mina Choo (Soup)
Project Cheeep is a site-specific installation that explores the possibilities of emotional responses as a measurable dimension of human experience. Central to the installation are handcrafted birds inspired by the common mynahs that inhabit Singapore’s Orchard and Somerset areas. The installation draws from the mynahs’ unique behaviour of gathering in the evenings to create a cacophony of communal noise.
Their nightly ritual, often chaotic and noisy, is reimagined as an auditory collective expression of the day’s encounters, challenges, and routines, reflecting humanity’s shared inclination to process and express experiences together, whether through conversations, art, or social interactions. As silent observers of human routines, the mynahs mirror our lives, bearing witness to the unnoticed poetry of daily existence, especially in an urban context where individuality and community often collide.
By incorporating the mynahs as visual and symbolic elements,Cheeep reflects the duality of urban life: the blend of solitude and connection, chaos and harmony, individuality and collectivism.

Title: TRI-dora (Collaboration between TRIFECTA and *SCAPE)
Venue: TRIFECTA
Artist: Tobyato
TRI-dora, is a floor mural artwork as an homage to both the iconic 3 headed Kaiju Ghidora, and the local push that TRIFECTA embodies with our space within Somerset’s grounds.
As the “TRI” in the title suggests, the artwork highlights 3 main concepts within the artwork.
Firstly, by featuring 3 elements of water, wind and rock, the artwork pays homage to the 3 board sports respectively – namely surfing, snowboarding and skateboarding.
Secondly, as TRIFECTA aims to be a space that champions creative expression, the flowing form of the artwork serves a dual purpose. One, it references the creative flow in the lines we create when riding our boards; and two, it highlights the flowstate in traditional creative pursuits like art and music.
Lastly, it serves as a natural guide into the various sections of TRIFECTA’s space.
