Berlinale Talents alumnus, Natalie Soh, is a film editor and occasional music-maker with multiple editing awards under their belt including Boo Junfeng’s Apprentice (Cannes, 2016), HBO’s Halfworlds 2 and Adventure of the Ring.

Production Designer James Page’s oeuvre spans theatre, film and advertising. Works include Yeo Siew Hua’s A Land Imagined (Golden Leopard, Locarno 2018), Boo Junfeng’s Apprentice (Cannes, 2016) and Rajagopal’s A Yellow Bird (Cannes, 2016).

Golden Horse Academy 2017 alumnus and recipient of the Young Artist Award 2023, Shyan Tan possesses a keen eye for capturing raw emotions and has lensed Siyou Tan’s Strawberry Cheesecake (Locarno, 2021), Vivian Ip’s An Island Drifts (Best Drama Film, USC First Look 2022).

Award-winning filmmaker K. Rajagopal possesses an extensive directorial resume that boasts over 50 credits from short films, documentaries, TV/TVC and theatre production including his first feature film, A Yellow Bird (Critics’ week).

Awarded a prestigious international fellowship by the American Society of Cinematographers, Jolinna Ang is a versatile Director of Photography whose works span documentary, commercials, music videos, narrative across Southeast Asia.

Huzir Sulaiman is the co-founder and Joint Artistic Director of Checkpoint Theatre. Recent directing includes Secondary: The Musical (2024), Session Zero (2023), Tender Submission (2023), and Brown Boys Don’t Tell Jokes (2023). Recent playwriting includes the SIFA commission Displaced Persons’ Welcome Dinner (2019). Screenwriting includes Dukun (2018), winner of Best Screenplay at the Malaysian Screen Awards.

Director of Photography Hanshen Sudderuddin is a member of the Singapore Society of Cinematographers (SGSC) and is known for his expertise in visual storytelling across various media. He regularly pushes the boundaries of visual narrative through innovative techniques and creative collaboration with international brands like Toshiba, Samsung and Pizza Hut.

After retiring as a National Fencer in 2010, Writer-director Nelicia Low pursued her filmmaking dreams with her debut feature film Pierce, which won Special Mention at Talents Tokyo 2020 and the Taipei New Horizon Screenplay Award at the 2023 Golden Horse Film Festival.

WHAMMY ALCAZAREN is a director and multi-awarded production designer for both film and advertising. He participated in the 2013 13 Little Pictures Film lab in Singapore, 2016 Festival Belluard Bollwek Watch and Talk Residency in Switzerland, and 2024 Berlinale Talents. As production designer, he is a frequent collaborator with directors Carlo Manatad (Whether the Weather is Fine , 2022, Locarno Concorso Cineasti del presente), Raya Martin (Death of Nintendo , 2020, Berlinale Generations) and Sam Manacsa (Cross my Heart and Hope to Die , 2023, Venice Film Festival).

His first short film, BOLD EAGLE , won Best International Short at the Fantasia Film Festival 2023. The film screened in the 61st New York Film Festival and the 40th Edition of the Sundance Film Festival. BOLD EAGLE is available for streaming on the Criterion Channel.

Whammy is in development of his next feature film, Noodles, Our love was instant and forever. He likes cats.

Jow Zhi Wei attended Le Fresnoy (France) and Lasalle (Singapore). He is an alumnus of the Golden Horse Film Academy 2010. In 2014, he was awarded the Young Artist Award by the government of Singapore. He has made three short films, which were selected for various international film festivals – OUTING (San Sebastián International Film Festival 2010), WAITING (Busan International Film Festival 2010) and AFTER THE WINTER (Cannes Film Festival – Cinéfondation Selection 2013). His debut feature film TOMORROW IS A LONG TIME world premiered at the 2023 Berlinale, in the Generation 14plus competition. 

Head of Production of Potocol Singapore. and an alumna of Rotterdam Lab 2023 and Busan Asian Film School 2022, Sam Chua worked on Inside the Yellow Cocoon Shell by Pham Thien An (Camera D’or, Cannes Directors’ Fortnight 2023), Autobiography by Makbul Mubarak (FIPRESCI Award, Venice Film Festival 2022), and Pierce by Nelicia Low.

Charlyn Ng is a producer of commercials, feature films and scripted series all across Asia, including works such as Forbidden on HBO Max and the 2nd season of the HBO hit The Teenage Psychic.

Nicholas Guan has led the creative film agency for over a decade as its Executive Producer. With a background in advertising, he champions empathetic storytelling and creativity. Nicholas has been instrumental in AMOK’s rise to prominence, guiding it from its early stages to become a respected name in the industry. Under his leadership, AMOK has partnered with global brands like Meta, Google, LG, Belmond and Twitch, producing award-winning content including the films “Class Acts” (2023) and “Andre & His Olive Tree”.

Russell Morton is a Singaporean filmmaker whose work often mobilises Southeast Asian folkloric figures and esoteric rituals, enmeshing mythological narratives and existentialist concerns. Morton garnered the award for Most Outstanding SEA Director at the Rolling Youth Film Festival in conjunction with Busan International Film Festival 2022. As a Cinematographer, Morton has collaborated on films with Pōtocol, Akanga Film Asia, Epicmedia, and Volos Films. He was the Director of Photography for Ang Song Ming’s RECORDER RE-WRITE, Singapore’s entry to the 58th Venice Biennale, Kenneth Dagatan’s sophomore film, IN MY MOTHER’S SKIN (Sundance Film Festival, 2023) and Jow Zhi Wei’s TOMORROW IS A LONG TIME (Berlinale, 2023). Morton is currently  developing his first feature film project, PENUMBRA.   

Jeremy Chua is the General Manager of the Singapore International Film Festival since 2024. In 2014, he founded Singapore-based independent film label Potocol as a creative house for distinctive Asian auteurs to produce films, videos, installations and artwork. His producer credits include 2024 Berlinale Encounters Special Jury Prize winner Some Rain Must Fall, 2023 Cannes Camera d’Or winner Inside the Yellow Cocoon Shell, 2023 Berlinale Generations film Tomorrow is a Long Time, 2023 San Sebastián New Directors film Last Shadow at First Light, Venice FIPRESCI winner Autobiography, 2021 Cannes Un Certain Regard film Rehana Maryam Noor, 2018 Locarno Opening Competition film A Family Tour, 2016 Cannes Critics’ Week film A Yellow Bird, and 2016 Berlinale Silver Bear winner A Lullaby to the Sorrowful Mystery. In 2023, he was awarded the FIAPF Award for Outstanding Contribution to Asia Pacific Cinema by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations. 

Rayann Condy is a certified Intimacy Coordinator with IDC (USA) making her one of the first qualified intimacy professionals in Southeast Asia with works across TV/Film and theatre, including How I Learned to Drive (Esplanade Production); The Last Bout (currently on Ch 5); Emmy nominated People Like Us (Season 3).

As a freelance applied theatre practitioner, facilitator and educator, Rosemary (Rosie) McGowan runs workshops and projects exploring themes of self-care, sexual assault trauma, self-harm, communication, leadership and understanding mental health.
