The panelists will share about creating an engaging web series that attracts audiences even amidst the crowded online world, the storytelling format that works best for a series, and the challenge of holding a viewer’s attention.

Kriz Gazmen Kriz Gazmen is a producer and writer based in Manila, Philippines. Since 2007, he has produced and written a number of Philippines’ highest-grossing and multi-awarded films. He is currently the head of Black Sheep, a film outfit under ABS-CBN. With the cinemas closed in 2020 because of the pandemic, Kriz produced the most-viewed digital boys’ love series in the Philippines “Hello Stranger,” which amassed more than a million views per episode. With the success of the series, “Hello Stranger” was followed up by a film “Hello Stranger The Movie,” which had a worldwide digital release in February 2021. |

Leon Cheo Filmmaker Leon Cheo is the creator, writer and director of the Emmy®-nominated short form series “People Like Us”. His latest short film “SIN-SFO” won Best Live Action and Best Director at the 2019 National Youth Film Awards. The film premiered in-competition at the Academy Award-qualifying 25th Austin Film Festival. Other highlights include “The Three Sisters” which won ‘Best Short Film’ at the 2012 NETPAC-Jogja Asian Film Festival; “Move Out Notice” which was nominated for Best Script at the Singapore Short Film Awards; and “Nuts” which received honourable mention at the YOMYOMF Interpretations 2.0 competition. |

Ler Jiyuan Filmmaker Ler Jiyuan is the showrunner, writer and director of critically acclaimed HBO Asia series “Invisible Stories”. The first episode world premiered in the 2019 Golden Horse Film Festival and the first two episodes screened in a special segment at the 2019 Singapore International Film Festival. The series was featured in Variety among the top 15 International Dramas in 2020. Ler is writer/director of high-profile TV dramas such as HBO Asia’s “Grisse”, and Mediacorp Studios “Gone Case”. Ler’s short films “The Drum” won the 2018 Viddsee Juree Gold Awards; and “Paper House” premiered at the 2017 Singapore Chinese Film Festival. |

Kenneth Lee Kenneth Lee is Business Development and Partnerships Lead at NSFTV, The Hummingbird Co. At NSFTV, Kenneth approaches purposeful storytelling with modern platform and business strategies. He works with a talented team at NSFTV to develop meaningful narrative products that can be of value to our society, media consumers, and brands. |

Juan Foo Producer Juan Foo is candidly regarded as the pioneer independent producer who is ‘still’ around for the past 20 years. He produced Singapore’s first digital film, “Return To Pontianak”, first HD-feature “Dirty Laundry” and indie-cult film “Perth”. He started in script reading and distribution for a film finance company and freelanced in editing and production. Juan teaches filmmaking in NUS-CFA and has taught producing at NTU-ADM and NP-FMS-FSV; he believes the next generation of content talent is in producers. He is attached to Taipan Films developing and producing motion picture content, most recently, with Singapore’s first creature monster film, “Circle Line”. |
