Dance Interest Group Showcase – Friday, 13 January 2023
Look forward to the communities that have been part of *SCAPE, showcasing their very own performances. These youth have been an integral part of their communities and been rehearsing for months to put up these performances. Come support and discover the talents that have been dancing at *SCAPE! These groups are Roar City Grounds and Lion City Lockers.
Intensive and Inter-studio Showcase – Saturday, 14 January 2023
We invited the various dance studios in Singapore to celebrate their talents by presenting a showcase performance from their own studios. These consist of established instructors you know and learned from, or youth that have been consistently training for many years. *SCAPE is proud to give a platform to celebrate our home-grown talents!
WE WILL BE HAVING A BLOCK PARTY AFTER BOTH SHOWCASES WITH DJ BOLO!

Representing Street Dance Intensives!
Choreography taught by Girin Jang:
Dancers join the workshop with Girin Jang in December. In less than one month, they have come up with a performance using Girin’s choreography.
Representing Popping Intensives!
Popping taught by EunG:

Extracting notes from Scape’s popping intensive workshop conducted by Eun G, we covered topics on pop control, rolls, dynamics, and confidence in this craft, we look forward to piecing this information together into an item. Our team has always been very inspired by Eun G’s dedication in her craft, and we look forward to this opportunity.

South Wing Kin (SWK) aims to display the power of simplicity in the complex world that we live in. While intricacy has its own domain and perks, simplicity is often overlooked and mistaken for a lack of skill. SWK believes that keeping things simple can serve as a catalyst for some of the most unique creations.
Representing Danz People!
Dancers: Lee Wen, Era Emelia, Audrey Hia, Clarice Chia, Zeta Chua
This performance represents a diversity of styles and focuses simply on the enjoyment of music and movement. It is performed by a mixture of instructors and students from Danz People, choreographed by YiLiang and Lee Wen. We hope this performance brings you joy and fun at the end of the day and hope you enjoy it!
Representing Legacy Dance!
Dancers: Benzo, Cara, Charmain, Farid, Hazique, Japh, Jon, Keegan, Lester, Melo, Steffi, Zoey, Zhen Yi
Presenting the faculty members of Legacy Dance Co. Aside from being teachers, choreographers or performers, we’re just a bunch of friends who share the love of dance.
Representing New Heights!
Group Name: Popping Performance Team
Dancers: Nic Ho, Vanessa, Max, Shawn, Li Xiang
Representing street dance at its core, New Heights Studio performance team, together and led by the Founder Nic Ho, will be showcasing a Popping piece. Expect a variety of Styles within Popping to be showcased and be ready to immerse yourself into the world of control & detail!
Representing Step Studio!
Group Name: STEP FAM
The STEP FAM is made up of our STEP Youth Crew and STEP Co. Dancers, under mentorship of Step and Deo. Earlier this year, they represented Singapore in the FINAFINALS 2022, International Dance Competition in Germany, winning 3rd Place under the professional category. The team also achieved first place for the fifth consecutive year, for our Open Age Group Contemporary routine for Get the Beat 2022 and were the Overall Champion with the Highest Scoring Act award and Judges’ Choice for Studio Excellence award. They continue to train consistently together, and always believe in growing the team above individual, and connecting with community above competition. Having gone through thick and thin together, the SYC & Co. are here to bring their hearts and magic to the stage during Home Ground.
