Heng is a freelance street dancer who started his dance journey in university. He is well versed in multiple genres, with a focus in Locking & Hip Hop. As an established freestyle dancer and choreographer, he has been an active voice in the local dance community, and his capabilities and contributions have not gone unnoticed.

Heng has achieved several placings in major national and international dance competitions across the years and is not one to shy away from the screen. His ability as a choreographer has been recognized through his work with Mediacorp and local music bands. His major work includes a Mediacorp dance TV series “Dance With Me” starring Kimberly Wang & Shane Pow, where he is the co-choreographer for their live shows and flash mobs. He is also the choreographer and dancer for local R&B Funk band, Astronauts.

He enjoys organising events for the local dance scene and has accumulated much experience in this area, and events organized by Heng can scale up to large audiences over 300 pax. He is the Vice President of Lion City Lockers (LCL), which is a Singapore-based dance community for dancers focusing on the genre of Locking. He provides guidance in event planning, fund management, and offers help to connect to the community to relevant agencies.

Together with *SCAPE, Heng curates, develops, and executes growth and outreach programmes for budding young dancers. This includes those that aim to improve the skill levels of young dancers and honing their capabilities as youth leaders. To spread the joy of dance to the masses, he also holds free outreach programmes for the public.

Till this day, Heng’s passion for dance continues to motivate him to hone his craft and reach greater heights. He wishes for more on-screen experiences to grow as a performer, and to continue giving back to the community through teaching opportunities.
