The Believers is a film on documenting a plethora of emotions in the midst of rituals. Between mundanity, exuberance and absurdity, The Believers searches for an underlying humanity, by crashing spheres of human existence that conjoin the worlds of the secular and the religious.

As part of the Singapore Youth Film Festival, organised by *SCAPE in partnership with Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF), this special retrospective screening showcases some of the best film submissions since National Youth Film Awards’ (NYFA) inception at Somerset Youth Park, as part of Nightflix Somerset.

Over three weekends (3 August, 7 September, 5 October), these screenings of NYFA-winning films are a unique opportunity that invites filmgoers to step out of their comfort zones and immerse themselves in the evolution of local cinematography over the last nine years.

SENSES OF THE SOUL
Art and religion have profoundly shaped Singapore’s identity, weaving together the physical and the
philosophical. In this rich tapestry of the soul and the senses, a collective consciousness emerges, forging
new pathways of understanding.
