*SCAPE ALT. MUSIC RESIDENCY

Open Call period: 6 June – 17 July 2022 (Deadline Extended)

Residency period: August – December 2022

Are you looking to create your own original EP with guidance from industry mentors? The Residency is looking for dedicated and committed young musicians with a strong passion and interest in music production and marketing. This year, we are supporting four musicians to produce an EP each and to build artist brandings with the guidance from industry mentors. The Residency will round up with an opportunity to perform on *SCAPE Music Day Out! main stage.

(More details will be provided once applicant is selected for the residency.)

Below are the criteria for residency:

  1. Singaporean or Permanent Resident youth individuals who are at least 18 years old and at most 34 years old at the time of registration.
  2. Fresh graduates are welcome.

Residency programme details:

  1. Mentorship

Selected residents will be paired with an industry mentor throughout the Residency period to produce an EP.

  1. Internal and External Showcases

As part of a holistic musician development, residents can expect showcase opportunity. Presentation of works strictly depends on the merits of the works and the prevailing public health situation. Details to be released upon confirmation.

  1. Support through the residency
  • Access to *SCAPE venues for meetings (subject to request and availability).
  • Profiling and amplification by *SCAPE. This includes interviews, photoshoots, and video recording.
  • Opportunities to explore and develop with industry leaders and professionals.

Interested participants are required to submit the following here by 17 July 2022, 2359hrs.

  • CV and portfolio or past works
  • Unpublished demos
  • 100-word write-up of why you are interested in the programme and what you would like to gain out of the programme.

There is no programme fee required to participate, however there is a penalty fee should you drop out or have poor attendance without a valid reason. Feel free to reach out to creativearts@scape.sg if you have any queries.
